Martin Allen will be looking for a vast improvement from his side tonight if they are to progress in this season’s FA Cup. Following Saturday’s derby defeat Allen cancelled his team’s trip to the races on Sunday in order to concentrate on the game at Boundary Park and will be hoping this move pays dividends in Lancashire this evening.

Vital Quotes:

Martin Allen (speaking to the Gloucestershire Echo): ‘We have to get up and get going again. Mentally, everyone who was on the bus to Hereford is injured, upset and disappointed – we were all hurt. But I am pleased there is a game tonight and I can’t wait for it to start because I want to get these players playing well, smiling and giving the supporters a team to be proud of.’

Oldham Team News:

The Latics look to be facing a striker crisis ahead of tonight’s game. Lee Hughes is suspended, whilst Darren Byfield and Chris O’Grady are both ineligible to play. Midfielder Danny Whitaker is also out with an ankle injury.

Player to watch: Andy Liddell

Slotted home the winning penalty on Saturday and will be hoping to trouble the Robins shaky defence.

Cheltenham Team News:

The likes of Lee Ridley, Lewis Montrose and Damian Spencer are all in line to start tonight. Elvis Hammond is ineligible, whilst Alex Russell and Shane Duff remain sidelined.

Player to watch: Shane Higgs

Not even certain to start tonight, the Robins keeper will have to be back to his best if his team are to have any chance of progressing through to round two.
