Cheltenham weren’t able to capitalise on a recent wobble of form from our opponents at the weekend as we slipped to a narrow defeat.

We would have fancied our chances at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium on Saturday afternoon as our opponents had lost their last three competitive games, but Cheltenham came away with nothing but a 1-0 defeat.

A goalless first half was on the cards until John Mousinho’s pass put in Stuart Beavon (34), who finished low into the goal to give the hosts a one-nil lead, which they took into the half time break.

We applied more pressure on Burton in the second half but just couldn’t take the breakthrough that was needed with Jon McLaughlin saving from Joe Hanks to make sure that we ended up having lost one-nil.
