Update On Benson Injury

The club have revealed that Paul Benson will be out for a couple of weeks but it’s hoped he will return for the Bradford game.

The on loan striker was stretchered off in the Plymouth game and scans on his ankle show what the medical staff expected. Senior sports therapist Ian Weston told the Official Site.

‘He has an outside chance for Bradford. It was as we expected. Paul has a grade one sprain of the deltoid ligament and one of the tendons round the back of the ankle bone.’

Weston adds that he’s expected to be out for the next two games at the very least, but if it settles down and all goes to plan he should be available for our final match of the season.

Of course, should we make the play offs he should be able to play a full part in them.
