Martin Allen has today boosted Cheltenham’s depleted forward line with the signing of Elvis Hammond until January. Following the departure of Stuart Fleetwood, the Robins had lacked pace up front and the former Leicester man will hope to fill this void.
The Ghanian striker, who worked with Allen at the Walkers Stadium, has been out of action for over a year with ankle injury. He played for the Robins reserves yesterday and scored in the sides 4-0 victory over Forest Green.
Meanwhile, Lee Ridley has been removed from the transfer list. The left back has impressed Allen in recent weeks and has earnt himself a reprieve at Whaddon Road. With Alan Wright not getting any younger, the former Scunthorpe man will hope to estabilish himself in the Robins first team.

I think this’ll turn out to be a very good signing for Cheltenham. He’ll be a very good player at this level.
By the way, that is not a picture of Elvis Hammond. For one, he is black.
Sorry, just read that bit about Ridley.
