Yates Gutted With Defeat

Mark Yates has admitted he is very frustrated following our 3-2 loss to Port Vale today.

Speaking to the Official Site Yates said following the game.

‘I’m frustrated. We came apart for 15 minutes when we conceded. We work on that week in week out but we didn’t help him (Billy) enough today. They could have put the game to bed in the first half and words were forthcoming at half time and I got my response. We haven’t conceded too many goals from set pieces but it was disappointing today, you cannot make the mistakes we did against players like Pope.’

Yates adds that the mood in the dressing room was very much one of disappointed with the players knowing they should and could have done better on the day. But we look towards Monday’s game and then work hard to pick up the points we want.
