Manager Mark Yates has today signed former Shrewsbury midfielder Asa Hall.

The 27 year old midfielder was released by his former club over the summer and he joins us as a free agent, becoming our second signing of the summer.

Speaking to the Official Site as his arrival was announced, Hall said.

‘I’m really pleased to be here. I’ve played here before, I like Cheltenham and I have always admired the gaffer. I know a few players that have played under him and it was a just a great opportunity and I really wanted to join.’

Hall goes on to say that hopefully he can bring some experience with him and goals from midfield, because he knows the aim for 2014-15 is to have another real go at getting this club out of League 2.

He has signed a two year deal with the club.

Youngsters Harry Williams and Bobbie Dale have also both signed their first professional deals at Cheltenham Town today.

Both players have signed 12 month deals so we can see how they develop more around the first team over the coming season.

18 year old Harry scored almost 40 goals last season in youth and reserve football, from a midfield position, and was obviously named our Young Player of the Year for 2013-14.

Having made his debut in the 3-0 win over Morecambe last October, he went on to make his full Cheltenham debut in the 1-1 draw against Exeter in April, and has now made five appearances for the club.

Fellow 18 year old Bobbie has shown himself to be a good goalscorer in our Academy as well and has been impressive over the last few years.

He made his debut in our loss to Plymouth Argyle back in August.
