After Tuesday evenings debacle against Hereford, Mark Yates will be looking for a response from his players against promotion-chasing Chesterfield. This is a tough assignment for the Robins, but they will be boosted by the arrival of new loan signings Aaron Lescott and Medy Elito.

Vital Quotes:

Mark Yates speaking before the additions of Lescott and Elito: ‘We’ve got to move on from Tuesday quickly. The good thing about having a game so close to the result is that we can get it out of our system. There were things I didn’t like and one of those was that we didn’t move the ball around quick enough but we’ve had a chance to work on things like that this week so it should improve. We know the squad isn’t perfect and we don’t have the quality that everyone wants but we’ll have to cope’ (taken from ctfc.com)

Cheltenham Team News:

Michael Townsend is expected to return having been missing in recent weeks with a groin problem, whilst Lescott is expected to deputise for the injured Dave Bird. A switch to a more conventional 4-4-2 is also a possibility with Elito playing on either flank. The veteran pairing of Barry Hayles and Julian Alsop is expected to continue.

Player to watch: Medy Elito

The main problem in recent times for Cheltenham has been a lack of service for the strikers. The man from Colchester should hopefully add more pace and potency to the Robins attacking options.

Chesterfield Team News:

Manager John Sheridan will be forced to make a couple of changes with Frankie Artus and Dominic Green having returned to their parent clubs after the conclusion of their loan deals.

Player to watch: Jack Lester

Scored the winner in the corresponding fixture in November. Always a handful at this level and the Robins defence will have to be on their guard to keep the former Nottingham Forest man at bay.

Match Prediction:

A tough ask for Cheltenham to gain anything from this match, but the new signings should be a real boost. An encouraging 1-1 draw.

Next Fixtures:

Cheltenham – Burton away 13th March.

Chesterfield – Notts County away 9th March.
