Following on from their encouraging 1-0 victory over Lincoln on Saturday, the Robins will hoping to complete a maximum Easter points haul against a Crewe side who shipped 4 goals at Morecambe on Good Friday.
Mark Yates (speaking to ctfc.com): ‘Without a shadow of a doubt we are capable of fending off Crewe tomorrow. We’ll respect them and I know what a good manager Dario Gradi is. But, when I put a team out there at 3pm I expect them to give Crewe a real game and a test.’
Mat Mitchel-King is fit to start after overcoming a back problem, but Ashley Westwood is banned.
The former York man poses a real threat to the Cheltenham backline and his physical presence could be a test for Shane Duff and Michael Townsend.
Medy Elito misses out through a slight calf strain. Andy Gallinagh comes in right back and Dave Bird moves up into midfield. Danny Andrew replaces Lee Ridley, whilst record breaker Julian Alsop moves down to the bench at the expense of Barry Hayles.
Brings leadership and quality to the backline now that he is fit. Performed well against Lincoln and will hope for more of the same today.
A tough one for the Robins, despite the Alex’s defensive fralities. I expect a keenly contested 1-1 draw.
