Saturday’s clash between Cheltenham Town and Luton Town at Whaddon Road saw fans treated to a four goal thriller.

With the hosts trailing in the game two one as the match went deep into stoppage time, goalkeeper Scott Flinders was ushered into the penalty box for a late corner and he helped set up Will Boyle’s late and dramatic equiliser to take a point from the tie.

The visitors had the lead in the eleventh minute of the game as Alan Sheehan’s corner was headed in by Dan Potts and many fans will argue Danny Hylton should’ve done far better with his effort from a Luke Berry cross, but he failed to double their advantage on the day.

Cheltenham got themselves back into the game before the half time break though, as Daniel O’Shaughnessy’s delivery was flicked on by Harry Pell and Jamie Grimes hit the back of the net from close range.

Both sides had opportunities at one all with Luton’s best effort probably falling to Harry Cornick, whilst the hosts could look back on Mo Eisa and Kyle Storer’s opportunities.

Luton would’ve felt they’d have secured all three points with four minutes remaining in the game as Elliot Lee converted late on to restore their lead after Sheehan’s set piece hit the wall.

Seven minutes into stoppage time, a Jerell Sellars corner was headed down by Flinders and Boyle capitalised to rescue a point.
