Cheltenham Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Tin Plavotic in the two nil victory over Yeovil Town at the weekend at Whaddon Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Plavotic was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Plavotic was the main man at both ends for Cheltenham as they picked up three important points in the battle for EFL survival. The on-loan defender was on hand to make a vital goal-line clearance in the first half with the scores level, and broke the deadlock early in the second to put the Robins en route to victory.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Plavotic for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Matt Gilks (Wigan Athletic), Cian Bolger (Fleetwood Town), Tin Plavotic (Cheltenham Town), Jorge Teixeira (Charlton Athletic), Kadeem Harris (Cardiff City), Piero Mingoia (Cambridge United), Chris Clements (Grimsby Town), Reggie Lambe (Carlisle United), Sam Baldock (Brighton), Jon Stead (Notts County), Paul Mullin (Morecambe).

Manager – Lee Clark (Bury).
