On loan Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Dillon Phillips has been given FA Cup permission by his parent club.

With the FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie against Havant and Waterlooville this Saturday, Cheltenham and manager Gary Johnson had a word with Charlton about whether we could get permission for the youngster to remain between the sticks for the match, and they have kindly agreed to that request.

Phillips has been in good form for us with Cheltenham sitting in second place in the league and having started all 18 of our league fixtures so far, we have only lost two matches.

With him being with us until January 2 at least, hopefully he and we can now get a bit of a Cup run under our belts and maybe get a plumb tie in the first round proper if we can put ourselves into the next round.
