Agreement has been made between Cheltenham Town and Gloucester City for the continued groundshare deal at the Abbey Business Stadium.

Following discussions between both clubs, namely Chairman Paul Baker and their Chairman Stuart Pike, an agreement has been struck that will see Gloucester continue to share our ground for the forthcoming 2014-15 season.

Speaking to the Official Site Baker explained.

‘I am delighted to have agreed an extension for a further season. It makes very good business sense for the club to maximise its assets in this way and despite the additional wear and tear the extra revenue generated is very welcome indeed. The relationship between the two clubs has never been better and I am pleased that we have been able to work together for our mutual benefit.’

The club acknowledges that some fans will have concerns about the pitch, but point out the main problems this season have been the adverse weather conditions at the start of the year rather than games played specifically, but in any case the pitch is set to undergo a major renovation again in the close season to ensure it is up to its best.
