Cheltenham have today also added centre half Connor Goldson to our ranks as he has made a loan switch from Shrewsbury Town.

The emergency loan switch will expire on January 4th and Goldson has worked his way through their youth ranks before cementing his place as a member of the first team squad and has recently agreed a new deal with them.

He made his debut back in 2011 in their away win at Lincoln and he scored his first goal for them last season against Portsmouth.

So far in his career he has made 45 appearances for Shrewsbury and this is the perfect chance for him to continue his development by getting a good number of further games under his belt.

Manager Mark Yates described him as being a very good, big, strong and mobile defender and given that we are lacking numbers in that area of the pitch, he will be a welcome option.

The 20 year old has been handed the No 15 shirt an the 6ft 4in player will be available this weekend.
