Cheltenham Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by goalkeeper Scott Flinders in the one nil victory over Lincoln City at the weekend at Whaddon Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Flinders was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Going into Saturday`s fixtures, Lincoln City had been on a five-game unbeaten run, but that was until Cheltenham Town got the better of them at Whaddon Road. Playing a crucial part in the 1-0 triumph was Robins` ‘keeper Flinders, who kept a clean sheet, and made a number of fine stops in the process.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Flinders for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.
