Cheltenham Town are represented in the latest League Cup team of the round that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Mohamed Eisa in the first round tie between Oxford United and Cheltenham Town was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the League Cup competition.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Eisa was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the EFL Cup blurb read.

‘A summer signing from the Isthmian Premier South, Eisa struck twice as Cheltenham fought back from the brink to upset Oxford United 4-3 in extra-time.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Eisa for his recognition, but the most important thing was of course the win.
