Manager Gary Johnson earlier today brought in Reading centre half Rob Dickie on a loan spell and we have allowed Joe Hanks back out on loan again.

Dickie becomes our 17th additional of the summer so far, and coming in from the Championship club he has signed an initial one month deal but it is with a view to extending it.

The 19 year old has represented England at Under 18 and 19 levels and has made nine appearances for their Under 21 squad, scoring twice.

He’s described as a pacy and agile defender and he has previous first team experience from a loan spell out with National League South side Basingstoke Town.

He comes in in time to potentially make his debut this weekend at Whaddon when we host Barrow.

As for Hanks, he has today rejoined National League North side Gloucester City on a spell that will run until January.

Hanks was with Gloucester back in 2014 where he made six appearances for them, and speaking to the Official Site about the move assistant manager Russell Milton said that the move was to get him more regular game time like our other youngsters.

‘We’re just looking to get him regular games like we have done with Harry Williams, Bobbie Dale and Zack Kotwica. We want to get mens senior football into them more than the odd 15 minutes here. There’s a 28 day clause in the deal so we’ll see where we are then. It was important that he went to the highest possible standard and Gloucester fits perfectly. He knows the surroundings and players so he should go there and do well.’

The 20 year old could make a re-debut for the this weekend when they face Boston on Saturday.
