Cheltenham have confirmed that winger Kaid Mohamed has agreed a new deal at Port Vale and will officially leave the club when his contract expires.

The player was offered a new deal by Mark Yates, but has instead put pen to paper on a two year contract with the League One side.

Speaking to the Official Site the player said it was a difficult decision for him, but at 28 years of age he wants to test himself at higher levels and see what he can achieve.

‘I want to play at the highest standard I can but leaving is hard for me. It has been an amazing two years and I have no regrets about my time with Cheltenham. I have made many friends and the gaffer and staff have been good to me. I love the fans and I want to thank everyone who has supported me during my time with the club.’

Kaid says he leaves with many happy memories from both our league campaigns but also Cup runs and experiences and he really wishes that Cheltenham could have been promoted this season.

He leaves the club having made 100 appearances for us, scoring 18 times.
