Cheltenham Town have today announced that we will host Bristol Rovers in a pre season friendly at Whaddon Road this summer.

The game against the Conference Play Off winners in 2014-15 seeing them return to League Two following a season out after their relegation, will take place on Saturday July 25 and carry a 3pm kick off.

They secured promotion at the first time of asking following a penalty shootout over Grimsby Town at Wembley and are managed by Darrell Clarke, and their number 1 at the moment is former stopper Will Puddy who made one appearance for us six years ago having come through our youth ranks.

Two friendlies against higher level opponents on Tuesday July 21 and Saturday July 29 are also yet to be confirmed but should be announced shortly the club hope.

Our pre season schedule so far reads.

Saturday, July 11: Cirencester Town (a), 3pm
Tuesday, July 14: Evesham United (a), 7.45pm
Saturday, July 18: Weston-super-Mare (a), 3pm
Saturday, July 25: Bristol Rovers (h), 3pm
Saturday, August 1: AFC Wimbledon (a), 3pm

The 2015-16 Conference season kicks off on Saturday August 8 and we will know our fixtures on Friday July 3.
