Cheltenham Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by goalkeeper Scott Brown in the scoreless draw with Crewe Alexandra at the weekend at Gresty Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Brown was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Brown performed heroics for Cheltenham to earn a point away at Crewe Alexandra. The hosts gave it their all as they looked for a first win under new boss David Artell, but the Robins keeper was in outstanding form all afternoon.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Brown for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the point.

Full Team:

Scott Brown (Cheltenham Town), Haydn Hollis (Notts County), Jordan Moore-Taylor (Exeter City), Angus MacDonald (Barnsley), Jason McCarthy (Walsall), Jake Forster-Caskey (Charlton Athletic), Ben Whiteman (Mansfield Town), Chuks Aneke (MK Dons), Isaac Vassell (Luton Town), Keshi Anderson (Northampton Town), John Marquis (Doncaster Rovers).

Manager – Graham Westley (Newport County).
