Chairman Paul Baker has said the club will be doing all they can to keep the services of Marlon Pack, but he concedes it might be a battle the club lose.

The midfielder has already expressed a desire to play at a higher level and his contract is up in the summer, although at the age of 22 he can’t leave on a Bosman. The club have offered him new terms.

Speaking to the Gloucestershire Echo the chairman explained.

‘We are realists and we know Marlon is capable of playing at a higher level. If he leaves he will go with our blessing, but rest assured we will do all we can to keep him. If we can’t we have to make sure we get the best deal we can and if we can’t agree a fee, it will be decided by tribunal.’
