Birmingham City player Koby Arthur has joined Cheltenham Town on loan today.

The 18 year old winger has joined us on a youth loan until January and he will be available for our game against Bath this weekend.

Speaking to the Official Site after making the move, the youngster explained.

‘This will be a good step up for me. I was on loan at Lincoln last year and it was good but this is a chance in the league and I will work hard to get to the next level. I remember playing here last season in the FA Youth Cup, it was a good game to be honest because I was a bit shocked when Cheltenham took the lead, but we won.’

Arthur jokes that he had an opportunity in that game to get himself on the score sheet, but he decided against it as he ‘knew’ he would be moving to us this season!

Predominantly a winger, he can also play in the middle of midfield aswell, and in the game against us he talks about above, he played in the support role behind the two strikers, so he is pretty versatile and brings options with him.

We have handed him the No 20 shirt for his spell with us, and he made his debut for Birmingham against Wolverhampton Wanderers as a substitute back in April 2013 so he’ll be looking to get a good number of Football League games under his belt now to continue his development.
